SaucerSwap Joins the MiCA Crypto Alliance
The MiCA Crypto Alliance is delighted to welcome SaucerSwap as our newest member. As part of its membership, we are preparing a MiCA-compliant white paper on SaucerSwap, which is in its final stages of review and will be submitted to the relevant authorities next week. Under the MiCA Regulation, a crypto-asset white paper must be notified to the home Member State authority at least 20 working days before publication, after which it is made publicly available.
About SaucerSwap
Launched in August 2022, SaucerSwap is the first DEX on the Hedera network, offering a full suite of decentralised finance (DeFi) services. Why This Partnership Matters
This collaboration is significant for two reasons. First, this work builds upon the foundation laid with the HBAR MiCA White Paper, applying MiCA Title II white paper and disclosure obligations to a DeFi protocol’s native asset on Hedera. Second, SaucerSwap is positioning itself as one of the first decentralised exchanges to voluntarily comply with MiCA disclosure obligations (Title II), notwithstanding that services provided in a fully decentralised manner without any intermediary are exempt under Recital 22 of MiCA. This underscores SaucerSwap’s proactive commitment to transparency and regulatory best practice, showing that voluntary alignment with MiCA can strengthen market trust, resilience, and long-term adoption.
