MiCA Crypto Alliance Welcomes Young Platform as a New Member, Supporting Partner on MiCA MiCA Licensing and ESG Disclosure
The MiCA Crypto Alliance is pleased to welcome Young Platform as a new member of the Alliance. Based in Turin, Young Platform brings a distinctive vantage point to our network: a retail-facing exchange with an established presence in the Italian and wider European market. Young Platform recently obtained authorisation from Consob to operate as a crypto-asset service provider under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114, with a scope covering eight of the ten services regulated under MiCAR, among the broadest such authorisations granted in the Italian market, a process in which the Alliance provided support. The Alliance also supported Young Platform in publishing its ESG & Whitepapers page in June 2026, a live, publicly available example of MiCA-aligned sustainability reporting now in production.
About Young Platform
Young Platform is a fintech company aiming to become a smart digital bank natively focused on digital asset services. Its offering spans an app for learning the fundamentals of crypto, an intuitive platform for buying a first cryptocurrency, and indicators and APIs designed for traders and professionals.
Young Platform S.P.A. operates as the CASP behind the exchange's listed assets. Its CASP authorisation covers custody and administration of crypto-assets, execution of orders, exchange of crypto-assets for both legal-tender currency and other crypto-assets, transfer services, portfolio management, advice, and placement, bringing almost the full range of MiCAR-regulated activities under a single supervised perimeter. The scope also extends to services with a corporate focus, supporting business and institutional clients managing treasury and payments in crypto-assets. Under MiCAR's passporting regime, this authorisation additionally allows Young Platform to offer its services across other EU member states.
Its ESG & Whitepapers page sets out environmental, social and governance data for the blockchain tokens available on the platform, prepared with support from the MiCA Crypto Alliance. The page presents indicators such as energy consumption, Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, energy mix, and waste data for each listed asset, alongside links to the relevant MiCA white papers and to the Alliance's sustainability reporting methodology.
Why this membership matters
A CASP authorisation of this breadth signals a level of regulatory maturity that goes beyond meeting a licensing deadline. The Alliance's support through this process reflects its broader role in helping members navigate MiCAR's authorisation requirements in substance, from the scope of services applied for through to the disclosures that sit alongside them.
Sustainability disclosure under MiCA is one of the areas where the gap between the letter of the regulation and a genuinely usable output is widest. Raw ESG metrics, on their own, tell an investor very little unless they are standardised, comparable across assets, and easy to locate against the token in question. Young Platform's ESG data page is a working demonstration of what that disclosure can look like once it moves from a compliance obligation to a reference tool that a retail user or institutional counterparty can actually consult.
For platforms still building out their MiCA sustainability disclosures, Young Platform's approach, publishing a per-asset data sheet alongside the underlying methodology, offers a concrete reference point. It also reflects the kind of practical, asset-level detail that regulators and compliance teams look for when assessing whether disclosure obligations are being met in substance rather than in form.
Looking ahead
Young Platform's membership adds a large, retail-facing exchange with a broad CASP authorisation and a live sustainability disclosure programme to the Alliance's network, at a moment when both licensing practice and ESG reporting under MiCA are still taking shape across the industry. We look forward to Young Platform's continued engagement as these standards mature.
