The MiCA Crypto Alliance is pleased to welcome FalconX Ltd as a new member of the Alliance, following its recent MiCA authorisation, for which the Alliance provided regulatory compliance support. As a MiCA-authorised prime brokerage serving institutional clients across global digital asset markets, FalconX Ltd joins the Alliance with deep operational experience managing compliance obligations across a large and active crypto-asset catalogue. The Alliance is also working with FalconX Ltd to produce the environmental disclosures required of authorised CASPs under MiCA's sustainability reporting framework.

About FalconX

FalconX Ltd is a prime brokerage offering liquidity, and custody solutions to institutional clients including asset managers, hedge funds, family offices, banks, and other financial institutions. FalconX Ltd holds a Class 2 MiCA authorisation and “limited” Payment Institution License, enabling it to provide crypto-asset services to clients across the EU under a single regulatory framework.

Why this membership matters

The Alliance supported FalconX's regulatory compliance team as part of the firm's broader MiCA authorisation process. National Competent Authority expectations under the MiCA licensing framework vary by jurisdiction and by applicant, and the Alliance worked directly with FalconX's regulatory compliance team to shape an approach suited to its specific operational profile and licensing requirements.

"Operating under MiCA as an institutional prime brokerage means managing compliance obligations across a large and dynamic asset catalogue. The MiCA Crypto Alliance provides the structured support we need to meet our sustainability disclosure and white paper obligations consistently, as the regulation moves into full enforcement across the EU." — Summer Camilleri, Regulatory Compliance Lead, FalconX Ltd

"We worked closely with FalconX Ltd to deliver a tailored approach aligned with their specific regulatory and operational needs. Given that National Competent Authority expectations under the MiCA licensing framework are inherently stringent, it was essential for us to adapt our support accordingly. Our focus was on understanding those requirements in depth and providing structured, practical guidance to ensure a smooth and robust path to compliance." — Aaron Sanchez, Director of Industry Engagement, MiCA Crypto Alliance

For an institutional prime brokerage with a large and active asset catalogue, meeting MiCA's ongoing documentation and sustainability obligations requires continuous, systematic management. The Alliance supports CASP members such as FalconX by providing verified, methodology-backed sustainability disclosures intended for publication on their websites in accordance with Article 66(5) of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 and Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/422.

The environmental disclosure work covers both mandatory and discretionary indicators under the delegated regulation, prepared in a format that allows regulators and market participants to assess sustainability information across different assets and service providers on a like-for-like basis. For an institution managing a broad and active asset catalogue, that consistency is operationally significant: it means environmental reporting keeps pace with the portfolio rather than being addressed on an ad hoc basis.

For institutions assessing what compliant operations look like under MiCA, FalconX's engagement demonstrates how the Alliance supports CASPs throughout the licensing process and ongoing sustainability disclosure obligations.
