White Papers
July 17, 2026

The MiCA Crypto Alliance has completed the review and iXBRL conversion of a set of MiCA white papers covering crypto-assets operating within the Chiliz and Fan Tokens™ ecosystem.

This work involved assessing existing and new white paper documentation against the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation disclosure requirements, and converting all white papers into iXBRL format to enable structured, machine-readable regulatory filings.

iXBRL white papers for $CHZ, $DOJO, $POR, $ARG, $CITY, $GAL, $TRA, $MENGO, $SPURS, $PERSIJA, $SAFA, $UFA, $SFA, $SPAIN and $BELG are available here: https://www.micacryptoalliance.com/white-papers

About Chiliz

Chiliz is a leading blockchain ecosystem focused on sports and entertainment, providing infrastructure and tooling that enable fan engagement through tokenised experiences. Its technology underpins a broad range of crypto-assets, including fan tokens, used by sports organisations and communities worldwide.

Given the diversity of assets operating within the Chiliz ecosystem, clear and consistent regulatory disclosures are essential to support transparency, market integrity, and compliance under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation.

MiCA white paper review and iXBRL conversion

The MiCA Crypto Alliance reviewed and converted multiple MiCA white papers within the Chiliz ecosystem, submitted under MiCA. The white papers relate to fan tokens classified as other crypto-assets under MiCA Title II.

The scope of work included:

  • Reviewing nine existing and six new white papers against MiCA disclosure requirements
  • Converting all reviewed white papers into iXBRL format, enabling structured, machine-readable publication
  • Supporting timely notifications within the applicable review period for regulatory filings.

This work focused on ensuring consistency, regulatory clarity, and readiness for publication in line with MiCA requirements.

Why this matters under MiCA

Under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation, crypto-asset white papers must now be published in a machine-readable format, in line with the applicable implementing standards. These requirements have been in force since 23 December 2025, with inline XBRL (iXBRL) established as the required format for publication and submission.

With the MiCA XBRL requirements now in force, preparing a compliant white paper requires complete and consistent tagging, validation against the ESMA validation rules, adherence to the reporting manual, and careful resolution of known inconsistencies between the Regulatory Technical Standards and the taxonomy. In practice, this means ensuring that iXBRL files are prepared and reviewed to the standard expected for regulatory submissions, rather than relying solely on automated conversion or taxonomy-level checks.

By publishing iXBRL versions of its white papers, the Chiliz ecosystem has aligned its documentation with the current MiCA submission framework and ensured that regulatory filings are prepared in line with the format and quality requirements now applicable under MiCA. This supports consistent regulatory review and reflects established best practices for structured regulatory reporting.

White paper support

The MiCA Crypto Alliance supports issuers and offerors, as well as other parties responsible for maintaining MiCA-compliant crypto-asset documentation, in meeting EU MiCA requirements efficiently and transparently. Our work combines legal analysis, technical review, and structured disclosure processes, including iXBRL conversion, to enable regulatory notification and the ongoing maintenance and modification of crypto-asset white papers.
