Introducing the MiCA Crypto Alliance Ambassador Programme

Tools & Initiatives
January 6, 2026

The MiCA Crypto Alliance is launching a new Ambassador Programme to support informed, practical engagement with the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation at a local level.

As MiCA comes into force across Europe and shapes global market expectations, there is growing demand for high-quality dialogue between legal practitioners, market participants, and the broader digital asset ecosystem. The Ambassador Programme is designed to bring these conversations closer to local communities, while maintaining the Alliance’s focus on clarity, credibility, and regulatory alignment.

A local extension of the Alliance’s mission

The MiCA Crypto Alliance brings together industry experts, legal practitioners, and regulated market participants to support the practical and transparent implementation of MiCA. Through shared standards, verified data, and collaborative tools, the Alliance helps organisations navigate regulatory requirements with confidence.

The Ambassador Programme extends this work by enabling trusted local representatives to convene stakeholders in their cities, introduce the Alliance’s activities, and support informed discussion around MiCA and digital asset regulation.

What Ambassadors do

MiCA Crypto Alliance Ambassadors represent the Alliance locally and contribute through clearly defined activities, including:

  • Hosting local city industry nights and networking events, bringing together law firms, projects, and market participants.
  • Representing the Alliance at relevant local events and introducing the Alliance’s work and ecosystem.
  • Proposing and delivering initiatives aligned with the Alliance’s mission, based on short, structured proposals.

The programme is designed to be practical and proposal-led, with each initiative reviewed individually by the Alliance.

How the programme works

The Ambassador Programme follows a simple, transparent process:

  1. Interested candidates apply by submitting their details, a short motivation statement, and an initial event proposal.
  2. Applications are reviewed by the Alliance, and approved candidates are recognised as official Ambassadors.
  3. Ambassadors submit detailed proposals for specific initiatives, including format, location, and budget.
  4. Once approved, ambassadors organise and deliver their events as representatives of the Alliance.

Event budgets of up to €3,000 may be proposed, with €1,000 compensation provided for each approved and delivered initiative.

Benefits of becoming an Ambassador

Ambassadors receive:

  • Recognition as an official MiCA Crypto Alliance Ambassador.
  • €1,000 compensation per approved event.
  • Individual membership in the Alliance, with participation rights in sessions.
  • Invitations to flagship gatherings and high-level networking opportunities.

Beyond these benefits, ambassadors play a meaningful role in strengthening the quality of local dialogue around MiCA and its implications for the digital asset market.

Who the programme is for

The Ambassador Programme is open to professionals who are active in their local digital asset ecosystem and interested in supporting informed engagement with MiCA and digital asset regulation. This includes individuals with strong local networks who are able to convene law firms, projects, and market participants through high-quality events and initiatives.
