MiCA CASP Tracker
Explore the full CASP landscape
The MiCA CASP Tracker brings together publicly available data from the ESMA MiCA Register and the EBA EUCLID Register into a searchable directory of authorised CASPs and non-compliant entities across the European Union, alongside EMI and PSP licences. Search by country, competent authority, licensed services, authorisation status, or company, and stay informed as new authorisations are granted or unauthorised entities are identified.

*Disclaimer: EMI/PSP licences are granted nationally under a separate framework from MiCA. Their Home Member State and passporting scope may differ from the MiCA authorisation. EMI/PSP licences are matched at legal-entity level; licences held by other entities within the same corporate group are not attributed to the CASP. Please verify against the EBA EUCLID register or national register for details on these licences.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the MiCA CASP Tracker?
The MiCA CASP Tracker is a searchable directory of all authorised Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs) licensed under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). It helps users identify authorised firms, the Member State where they are licensed, their competent authority and the crypto-asset services they are authorised to provide.
Where does the data come from?
The tracker is built using publicly available information published in the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) MiCA Register. We continuously monitor the register and update the tracker as new authorisations become available.
Does the tracker include all crypto companies operating in Europe?
No. The tracker only includes firms that have received authorisation as Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs) under MiCA and appear in the official ESMA MiCA Register. Firms without MiCA authorisation, such as firms dealing with digital assets under MiFID, are not included.
How often is the tracker updated?
The tracker is regularly updated to reflect newly authorised CASPs and any changes published in the official ESMA MiCA Register.
What information is available for each CASP?
Depending on the information published by ESMA, each profile may include:
- Company name and LEI
- Country of authorisation
- National Competent Authority (NCA)
- Authorisation status
- MiCA authorisation date
- Licensed crypto-asset services
What are MiCA crypto-asset services?
MiCA defines ten regulated crypto-asset services that authorised CASPs may provide. The tracker identifies which of these services each CASP has been authorised to perform, making it easier to compare firms and understand the scope of their licenses.
Who is this tool for?
The tracker is designed for:
- Crypto businesses
- Compliance and legal teams
- Financial institutions
- Regulators
- Researchers
- Investors
- Journalists
- Anyone seeking to verify whether a firm is authorised under MiCA
Can I verify whether a company is authorised under MiCA?
Yes. You can search by company name to determine whether a firm appears in the ESMA MiCA Register and review the services for which it has been authorised.
Is this an official ESMA register?
No. The MiCA CASP Tracker is an independent research tool developed by the MiCA Crypto Alliance using publicly available information from the official ESMA MiCA Register. While we aim to keep the information accurate and up to date, the official ESMA Register remains the authoritative source.
Who is authorised to provide crypto services under MiCA?
Only entities authorised as CASPs by an EU national regulator can legally provide crypto-asset services either through direct MiCA authorisation or, for certain regulated financial entities, a simplified notification process. Once authorised, providers can operate across all EU Member States.
Are CASP and EMI/PSP licences necessarily held in the same Member States?
No. The Home Member State and service jurisdictions shown in the MiCA Crypto Alliance CASP Tracker refer to the firm’s CASP authorisation only. EMI/PSP authorisations may have a different home Member State and passporting scope.
An EMI/PSP licence is shown in the tracker where we have identified a relevant authorisation in at least one Member State. The tracker does not indicate where that authorisation is held or the jurisdictions into which it has been passported. This information is intended as a starting point for further research. For full licence and jurisdictional details, consult the relevant national registers or the EBA’s EUCLID Register.
Where does the EMI and PSP licence information come from, and can I rely on it?
EMI and PSP licence information is sourced from the European Banking Authority’s EUCLID Register and the Tracker is updated daily against the latest available data. For definitive and complete licence details, please consult the EBA EUCLID Register or the relevant national register.
Are EMI and PSP licences matched at the company or group level?
EMI and PSP licences are matched at the legal-entity level. A licence is shown only where the same legal entity that holds the MiCA CASP authorisation also holds the relevant EMI or PSP authorisation.
Licences held by a parent company, subsidiary, affiliate or other entity within the same corporate group are not attributed to the CASP. For example, where a group operates its crypto and payment services through separate regulated entities, the payment entity’s EMI or PSP licence will not be shown as a licence of the CASP.
Does the tracker cover all EMI and PSP licences?
No. This is a CASP tracker, so it only identifies EMI and PSP licences held by entities that are also authorised as CASPs under MiCA. If an EMI or PSP licence is held by another entity within the same corporate group that is not itself the CASP, it will not appear in the Tracker.
The data are matched across separate regulatory registers, and differences in how legal entity names are recorded may result in some licences not being identified. Users looking for a complete view of EMI and PSP authorisations should consult the EBA EUCLID register or the relevant national registers.
How should I interpret the licences and services displayed in the tracker?
The tracker displays regulatory authorisations and the services covered by them, based on information from official regulatory registers.
The scope of each authorisation is determined by the applicable regulatory framework. Some services may appear similar but constitute distinct regulated activities. For example, under PSD2, executing card-based payment transactions is distinct from issuing payment instruments or acquiring payment transactions.
An authorisation also does not necessarily mean that an institution currently offers the corresponding service or has the operational infrastructure to provide it at present.
