What is the MiCA CASP Tracker?

The MiCA CASP Tracker is a searchable directory of all authorised Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs) licensed under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). It helps users identify authorised firms, the Member State where they are licensed, their competent authority and the crypto-asset services they are authorised to provide.

Where does the data come from?

The tracker is built using publicly available information published in the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) MiCA Register. We continuously monitor the register and update the tracker as new authorisations become available.

Does the tracker include all crypto companies operating in Europe?

No. The tracker only includes firms that have received authorisation as Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs) under MiCA and appear in the official ESMA MiCA Register. Firms without MiCA authorisation, such as firms dealing with digital assets under MiFID, are not included.

How often is the tracker updated?

The tracker is regularly updated to reflect newly authorised CASPs and any changes published in the official ESMA MiCA Register.

What information is available for each CASP?

Depending on the information published by ESMA, each profile may include:

Company name and LEI
Country of authorisation
National Competent Authority (NCA)
Authorisation status
MiCA authorisation date
Licensed crypto-asset services

What are MiCA crypto-asset services?

MiCA defines ten regulated crypto-asset services that authorised CASPs may provide. The tracker identifies which of these services each CASP has been authorised to perform, making it easier to compare firms and understand the scope of their licences.

Can I verify whether a company is authorised under MiCA?

Yes. You can search by company name to determine whether a firm appears in the ESMA MiCA Register and review the services for which it has been authorised.

Is this an official ESMA register?

No. The MiCA CASP Tracker is an independent research tool developed by the MiCA Crypto Alliance using publicly available information from the official ESMA MiCA Register. While we aim to keep the information accurate and up to date, the official ESMA Register remains the authoritative source.

Who is authorised to provide crypto services under MiCA?

Only entities authorised as CASPs by an EU national regulator can legally provide crypto-asset services either through direct MiCA authorisation or, for certain regulated financial entities, a simplified notification process. Once authorised, providers can operate across all EU member states.
